Bart Verbunt – Team Leader Netherlands

“After studying International Business Studies at Maastricht University, I worked in a few companies but did not find the challenge and opportunities I was looking for. When I joined Aston Carter, I knew from the start that all the challenges I wanted would be included in the job. Aston Carter’s transparent and honest way of working, its professional view on the market, and its in-house and well structured on-the-job training led to several personal successes.

“Starting as a Researcher on the Dutch SAP market, I found myself overachieving my expectations. It was clear that the help and space offered in ‘doing things my way’, combined with the structure of the organisation, helped me achieve my goals. I was promoted from support to Consultant, Senior Consultant, and then Team Leader of the Netherlands.

“Having started the Dutch office, and beginning to build a solid team with many people that are just as eager as I was, I hope I can offer my colleagues the same as I’ve been offered. I’m looking forward to growing the Netherlands business, and I’m confident that with the help of Aston Carter (as they always have), that this will be achieved.”

Aurelie Kuoch - International Finance Manager

“After graduating from a Master’s in Finance and Accountancy in France, I moved to London to gain experience of working abroad. I joined Aston Carter in April 2004 and am now in charge of finance for all our international businesses. Aston Carter’s culture is based on trust and loyalty, and since I’ve started I’ve been given so many opportunities to challenge myself and broaden my knowledge. My financial training has had a strong strategic and commercial bias, and has enabled me to make effective decisions by considering issues from both a sales, operational and legal perspective.

“Working for Aston Carter is very different from all my previous experiences. The ‘prove to me that you can do it’ way is very motivating and challenging. At Aston Carter, no matter your background, as long as you can prove yourself you will progress in terms of responsibilities. I started as an Account Assistant and today I’m managing a team of six people who have all improved and progressed since they joined - a point which is very important to me. I’ve also now qualified with CIMA, and have been supported by the business in achieving this.”
